Wonderful Women of Construction

Construction and sobriety go hand in hand for lasting success and well-being.

We are committed to helping individuals transition from halfway houses to independent living, particularly those recovering from trauma. Our focus is on empowering women as they search for new apartments, guiding them through the application process to facilitate a smoother transition. We also encourage women to explore careers in construction, providing them with the financial resources needed to thrive in their new lifestyles.

Our Services

Halfway house to independent living
We bridge the gap between halfway houses and independent living for women. We understand the financial challenges many face when saving money while paying rent in a halfway house. As their time there comes to an end, we step in to provide essential support. From donating furniture and housing supplies to assisting with apartment applications, we're committed to helping women transition smoothly into their own spaces. Together we can empower these ladies towards self-sufficiency and Independence.
WWOC Support Groups
Join our virtual monthly meetings designed to foster emotional support and share coping strategies among women. This is a welcoming space where ladies can openly discuss the challenges they are navigating during their transitions. While we operate independently of AA, we focus on sobriety and empowerment. We encourage all women to celebrate their successes and express their feelings, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to seek help and find solace in shared experiences. Thursdays at 6pm.
Job Placement Assistance
We specialize in linking individuals to job opportunities in the construction industry, helping you attain stable employment with employers who value your experience. This connection ensures that women have the financial resources needed for their new apartments, promoting a brighter future. By focusing on understanding your background, we create pathways for success in a field that needs your skills, enabling you to thrive in your new living situation.
Housing
We understand your unique circumstances and are here to help you find the right housing solution tailored to your needs. Our focus is on guiding you towards felon-friendly apartment complexes that will accept your application and provide you with a fresh start. Let us assist you in navigating your housing options, ensuring you find a comfortable and welcoming environment where you can thrive.
